Course - Knife making course 1

Onboard we will have two experienced knifemakers who will teach you the art of making our own personal knife. The blade will be ready made by local artists, and of high quality. You can then select the blade of your choice, the wood you want for the handle, and the leather for the pouch.

You will need to pay for the blade, wood and leather, but the tools needed for making the knife will be available for free use. Inge Hagensen and Lars Tveit will learn you how to make the knife!

First of all you start with making the handle from a blank of wood. You can choose three types of blades, 55mm, 65mm and 75mm length. The wooden handle must be formed and sanded to a high quality finish.
When the blade and handle are finished, you will learn how to make our own, special fit, knife pouch. It can be decorated and colored to your preferances.
This method of knife making is quite special for Norway. The knife will fit perfectly with the pouch.

This course is suited both for men and women!

THIS COURSE RUNS OVER 7 DAYS. Please make sure you don`t double book with other courses. NOTE: the system may state it is in conflict with the Geiranger excursion, but it is not. There is a brake that day, but our systems will not handle this.
